Accelerated Half Day Intensive Therapy

What Is an Intensive Session?

An intensive session is an extended block of therapeutic work designed to allow for deeper, more sustained engagement than a standard appointment. Rather than meeting for one hour at a time, an intensive gives you and your therapist 4 hours (with breaks) to move through material at a different pace with fewer transitions in and out of the work each week. We offer intensive therapy in these forms:

Traditional Therapy: every 1-2 weeks

Pros
  • Steady, sustained growth over time
  • Building skills and practicing them between sessions
  • Address ongoing relationships, work dynamics, or transitions
  • Spreads out the cost of therapy over time

Cons
  • More interruptions – an hour ends just as things are getting somewhere
  • Time is split between the ongoing stuff of life and the deeper themes and patterns that recur –  sometimes helpful to start, but limits deeper work over time

Intensive sessions

Pros
  • Depth without interruption
  • Greater focus on root themes and patterns (traumas, relationship patterns, limiting core beliefs, etc.)
  • On average, more growth and healing across fewer hours of therapy
  • Efficiency of scheduling for busy people and couples
  • Can be combined with regular therapy occurring every 1-2 weeks to move through tough blocks

Cons
  • Greater up-front investment of time and money

Who May Benefit From an Intensive

Intensive sessions may be particularly well-suited for clients who:

What to Expect: Session Format

Your intensive session will be scheduled as a 4-hour block. The general structure is:
  • An opening check-in and orientation to settle into the space and the work
  • A first extended working block (approximately 90 minutes of active therapeutic work)
  • A mid-session break (approximately 15–20 minutes) – time to rest, eat a snack, step outside briefly, or decompress
  • A second extended working block (approximately 90 minutes)
  • A closing period of reflection and integration (approximately 30 minutes) to help you transition out of the session and orient toward the rest of your day

Session Fees

Fees are as follows for a 4-hour intensive block:

  • Christy Boaman, LPCA – $800
  • Mandy Duff, LMFTA – $850
  • Stephanie Adams-Rodriguez, LPC – $1050
  • Dena Ewing, LPC – $1050
  • Lisa Annan, LPC – $1050 – limited availability for intensives
  • Brooke Hill – $1200

Availability for intensives sessions varies by therapist at any given time. If you’re interested in accelerated therapy, check with us first to make sure your new therapist is available for this offering at the current time.

Why does this cost more than a regular session?
A four hour session is more than adding together four individual 1-hour sessions. It is a structured package that often replaces what could take several months of regular standard therapy. For many people, it is actually more cost-effective after factoring in the total investment over time. The prices also reflect the added clinical preparation and additional hours extended by the therapist.
